Schemes get re-opened when either the business still needs the scheme or when corrections are required, you cannot do the latter if you have to create a new company as the submissions would be duplicated
Describe the Challenge | being able to correct or make submissions for schemes previously closed without making a new company |
oh wow! so you've got to start a new company by scratch and manually move all of the employees and YTD data across to be able to complete any adjustments or pick the payroll up where it left off?
Annoying that it still isn't an option, as I raised a case 1-2 years ago and stated to them that schemes can be re-opened with HMRC within 2 tax years of closing so the software should also support this - but like most support chats, they ask for the suggestions to be raised on here, of which very little suggestions (which improve the software) actually get applied. Instead they tend to focus their efforts on breaking aspects of the software that actually work well.
