We use the standard mid month salary change calculations on an averaged basis. This means the method being used by Paycircle come out with vastly different calculations and our company are having to manually overwrite these figures. The averaged basis is the method that is generally recommended by professional bodies such as the CIPP. Please can this method be built into the system?
Example:
Salary change on 12th September from £49,400pa (£4,116.67pm) to £52000pa (£4,333.33pm).
Paycircle calculation:
7 days @ £4116.67 (190*7 = £1,330) plus 15 days @ £4,333.33 (200*15 = £3,000) = £4,330 due September
Average calculation:
Old month salary (£4,116.67) plus difference for 15 days at new salary (£200-£190*15 = £150) = £4,226.67
As you can see this is a VERY different figure (Paycircle's figure gives us almost the new salary so is not really correct) so having the average method available would be greatly beneficial
Describe the Challenge | Currently you have to manually adjust the salary for a mid month change and can't rely on the system to get it right for you. |
