Having the non-standard working patterns saved in an employees record would allow for easier calculation of SSP, particularly when the period of sickness runs over a number of weeks.

Customer Challenge Currently when calculating SSP for employees on a 5 on 3 off, or 4 on 4 off working pattern, we have to complete several Sick Pay schedules if the period of absence runs over a number of weeks. If the correct working pattern was saved in the employee record, we could just enter the first and last day of sickness and allow to software to calculate the correct daily rates to use and total SSP due.
