Our internal policy is that we don't provide payroll reports to our accounts team with all employee data on, this is to reduce the number of people who have access to the sensitive personal information held by payroll. When generating reports for our accounts team we send them a gross to net summary excluding any personal details (name, NINO etc). It would be great if we could give them their own access to PC that allows them to download only the reports we give them access to (bespoke summary, P32, journal etc) without them having access to the rest of the payroll data. We have got half way there by setting them up as a group admin and limiting all access to 'Update company group settings' only, however this still allows them to create a bespoke report which will then pull through all the personal data we don't want them to see. This could also be expanded out to our tax team to download P60's themselves for directors only for tax return purposes.
Describe the Challenge | Reduces admin burden on payroll team to provide reports for other stakeholders as they can self service, whilst ensuring personal data is secure |
