We are getting complaints from clients that P45's are uploaded immediately and cannot be delayed to the employee to the same day the payslips are released.
It would be very helpful if the P45's were automatically made accessible to the leavers at the same time as the payslips unless the date was updated by the processor.

Currently, P45's are sent to the employees portal at the point payroll is processed. This prevents employees who have left having to wait until pay day/payslip date to retain their P45 to prevent unreasonable delay.
I can see there are a range of comments here referencing 'same time as payslips', 'on their leave date'. Is the ask here to have an option at company level to pick when P45's are uploaded to an employees portal?
Isn't it HMRC rules that a P45 should be given to an employee on their last day, even though this isn't always pratical?
we weren't aware of this, but we were told the P45's get uploaded on their leave date and not immediately after finalising the payroll
