Previous or current month filter option on bespoke reports

When we write our own reports especially when formatting for pension uploads it would be great if we could put a filter on that has the option of either previous period or current month as the date filters don't really work in this scenario

Describe the Challenge

Every time we run a bespoke report we have to remove leavers as we can't filter on current month only
