If a payroll is set up with a 260 Day Rate Calculation Method then the calculation for part timers should be as follows:
5 Days pw |
260 |
4 Days pw |
208 |
3 Days pw |
156 |
2 Days pw |
104 |
1 Day pw |
52 |
We have to manually calculate all part timers salary for Starters/Leavers & mid month Salary Changes and override what the software has calculated as it does not appear to return the calculation we expect, even though the settings in the background for the employee state the above?
Example:
Employee Starts: 15th October 2024
Working Pattern: Tuesday to Thursday, 3 Days pw
Salary: £17472
Manual calculation method 17472 / 156 * 9 = £1008
PayCircle calculation method 17472 / 12 / 15 * 9 = £873.60
There is a large difference? Can PayCircle explain why they use this method and not the usual method and can this be changed or an option given to choose which method we wish for these instances?
Describe the Challenge | Manual Calculations and overrides required - could be easily missed |
We've had this issue for a couple of years and have raised numerous tickets for it. They suggested using working pattern for the calculation but this doesn't work either
