Enable amendment of the 'Available To' date in a company car benefit schedule

Issue

The Available To date in a company car BIK schedule becomes read only once that BIK has been processed in payroll at least once. If it becomes necessary to alter this date, it is not possible to do so without stopping the existing schedule and setting up a new one.

Scenario

I am an employee and I am scheduled to have a company car from May 1st 2024 - December 1st 2024. The car provider then takes back the company car in October 2024 and I no longer have the benefit.

My administrator can not reflect this on in Paycircle or on the FPS by amending the existing schedule, instead being required to terminate my current schedule and set up what is effectively a duplicate schedule with the required available to date for submission to HMRC on the FPS.

Solution

Remove 'read only' status of the Available To field within a company car BIK schedule, even after processing.
