Allow access to the database to use a 3rd party reporting tool

Your reporting capability is limited. You cannot add default data fields so as to mimic pension output file formats, you cannot do calculations, you cannot change fonts, you cannot access all data within the database.

This means for each pension provider we have to provide manual files for, we have to manipulate the report. This adds time and reduces our profitability on charges to our customers.

If you allow access to the database, 3rd party reporting tools can be linked to it. You would need to set up profiles in SQL server for credentials as read only access, provide a guide as to the relationship structure between tables.
