It would be great if we could get a feature that tells us when an employee is reaching the end of their 28 weeks paid SSP. Maybe at 23 weeks it flags up in the alert tab that they will be reaching the end in their next pay period so that the employers can supply the SSP1 form.
HMRC's guidelines around this are that the employer should provide the SSP1 form;
within 7 days of their SSP ending, if it ends unexpectedly while they’re still sick
on or before the beginning of the 23rd week, if their SSP is expected to end before their sickness does
There's little that can be done on the first point, but the alert would solve the second issue. Currently, there's no simple way of working this out other than going into schedules and manually counting the weeks of employees we think might be getting close to that point.
Hi All
We have now introduced a new ‘Warning’ alert within Paycircle to let you know when Statutory Schedules are ending within the current period. With this new alert, you’ll now get an extra prompt when processing payroll so that you can ensure the employees whose statutory leave is coming to an ends pay/profile is updated accurately, either with them returning to the payroll, or proceeding with their leave.
You’ll see this new alert along with any other payroll alerts you may have in the ‘Alerts’ tab within the ‘Current period’.
