This issue has been raised by a few of our clients recently and one recently mentioned that it is causing offence. We hadn't previously noticed the system did this.
Currently the system defaults the admin users to Ms and Female, the only solution based on my conversation with support is to create a bespoke report that doesn't show anyone "excluded" therefore stopping the admin user appearing on the report. or to add the admin user then search for their excluded record and update the gender. If changing their admin record you also need to enter other information in order to move forward and save the details which is duplicated effort and not efficient.
| Describe the Challenge | In todays society there shouldn't be a default position, we should have the option when setting up the admin user to select the gender so as not to cause any offence, or an option to remove this information from reporting. I believe having the option to select the gender on the user setup page is the most efficient solution, based on a client base of 304 companies with multiple admin users we are now faced with the task of going through and updating the relevant records. |
